The people who need help completing their tax return can get it for free – thanks to kindhearted and knowledgeable volunteers!
If your income is low* and your tax situation is simple, volunteers from the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, on behalf of the Canadian Revenue Agency, may be able to help you free of charge!
When:Monday, March 4, 11, 18, and 25, Thursday, April 4 (since the library is closed on Easter Monday), and Monday, April 8, 15, 22, and 29, 2013
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Where: St. Thomas Public Library, Carnegie Room, lower level
No appointment necessary! Just drop in!
Please come prepared with all relevant documents. Bring a copy of your 2011 tax return and Assessment Notice. This program continues through to the end of April and meant for people who are unable to complete their own tax returns.
The first few weeks and first thing in the mornings tend to be a little busier. Please be prepared to wait.
