Flat Stanley: Bahamas Adventure – Don’t Rock the Boat!

Dear STPL friends,

Boat Date with Harriet the Spy

Here I am at the stern of “my” boat having a reassuring chat with a slightly nervous Harriet. Yes, I tell her, we have one life jacket per person, an extra anchor, a flashlight in case we have engine trouble and are out at sea after dark. Shush, I didn’t say that last part out loud but I am prepared. We’re about to head out on our first boating adventure in The Bahamas. We have packed a picnic lunch and hope to anchor just off Rose Island, northeast of New Providence. Our new Bahamian friends, Eve and Jack, say Rose Island is THE place to go for snorkelling, swimming and shelling.

Flat Stanley's Boat

Cheers,

Flat Stanley

Harriet looks a little pale, or is she always that way? Maybe too much sun screen?

@ yourothermotherhere – I think it was a combination of too much sunscreen and er, Harriet’s new-found dislike for boating. Land dates for us from now on! – Flat Stanley
