Due to issues with licensing, St. Thomas Public Library users have been using Open Office on the public access computers. While a good (and free!) software package, library customers have missed the convenience of having software they are used to. We thank everyone for their patience and adaptability.
Library computer users rejoice!
St. Thomas Public Library has upgraded the public access computers to include Microsoft Office 2013! Welcome back PowerPoint! It’s good to see you Excel! We’re glad you can join us, Word! We’ve missed you.
Just a reminder: The public access computers at St. Thomas Public Library are free to use – all you need is a valid library card. You can use the computer for 60 minutes per day. Just visiting? See the staff at the Adult Information Desk on the main level to sign up for a guest pass. There are also computers on the lower level for children, and a separate bank of computers just for teens. Need to print? No problem! Printing is 20¢ per page for black & white printing, and $1.00 per page for colour. We also offer wireless access to the Internet. See one of the service desks for the password.
