Meet Trax the Police Dog!

Trax and Constable James will be at the library on April 5 from 10-11 am. Join us in the Carnegie Room to see Trax the Police Dog in person and learn about how he is making history as the first Police Dog of the St. Thomas Police Force. Constable James will also explain how to interact with Trax when he is on duty. Just so you’re prepared, here is how the police prefer you that you interact with Trax:

  • Ask handler Const. Sean James first for permission to pet Trax. And don’t approach the dog from behind.
  • No treats nor toys. Trax has a special diet and his training doesn’t include chew toys.
  • If you see James and Trax at work, stay back to let them do their job. And listen to the handler’s commands. ‘Stand still’ means just that.
