Your Canadian Federation University Women of St. Thomas Executive is pleased to announce the first in a series of interesting programs for this 2014 – 2015.
Topic: A Poet’s Reflections: Chekhov and My Mom
Presenter: Susan Paddon, Poet
Susan will present using a “book talk” style, encouraging the listeners to ask her questions about her book, Two Tragedies in 429 Breaths, (whether they have read it or not). Susan also will answer questions about the writing process, editing and publishing in Canada. Susan will read a few poems (that she didn’t read previously at the CASO session) and talk about how she wrote them, their meaning, inspiration and process.
This is an OPEN meeting – open to all the public. There is no fee.
Place: Carnegie Room, lower level, St. Thomas Public Library, 153 Curtis Street, St. Thomas, ON
Time: 7:30 pm
Refreshments following presentation. Please invite all your friends to this very informative book talk.
Doors will be open at seven o’clock. We look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday evening.
