STRETCHING has arrived at the St. Thomas Public Library!
Where: Rotary Lounge on the main level
When: Daily (Monday to Saturday) at 10:30 a.m.
Everyone is welcome!
People are already feeling the benefits, which include:
- Calmer mind
- Reduced tension
- Increased flexibility
- Improved range of motion
- Improved circulation
We offer a gentle 5-minute stretch session daily, led by an STPL staff member. Relaxing music sets the tone; deep breathing enhances the experience. Participants do only what is comfortable for them. No pressure. No expectations. No bouncing. No sweating. No straining. The benefits — and the good feeling — come from simply stretching your muscles and opening up your neck, shoulders, arms and chest in a slow gentle way.
What participants are saying:
“I think more clearly after stretching.”
“I feel so much better.”
“I didn’t know I was so tense. Whew! Feels good.”
“Stretching gives me energy to carry on with my day.”
“Clears the cobwebs – it’s a mental break as well as a physical one.”
“Who knew you could feel so good in only five minutes!”
We’re R-E-A-C-H-I-N-G out with an invitation.
Come and stretch with us and feel the benefits for yourself!
